Want a Siamese with extra cuddle? The Balinese is the Siamese’s long-haired cousin. Named after the graceful dancers of that Indonesian island, Balinese are chatty, friendly, active cats who love to play and demand attention.
As they lack an undercoat, Balinese cats hair tends not to mat quite as badly as other long-haired breeds, but will still need regular brushing.
With a Balinese in your house, you'll soon find that privacy is an outdated concept.
Be sure to hide the combination on the padlocks you'll have to install on the kitchen cupboards.

As with many more modern breeds, most health issues have been identified and bred out. Many Siamese-related breeds however can be prone to kidney issues as they age, and occasionally have crossed eyes.
Big-eared cats can do with occasional ear cleaning; wipe their ears down with a cotton ball and warm water if they're looking a bit shabby.
