Health & Care

Generally healthy but as a large breed, Labrador Retrievers are susceptible to the common hereditary ailments of patellar luxation, osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) and canine hip dysplasia (CHD). Less common but not unusual amongst this breed is Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), epilepsy, ear infections, cataracts and cold tail.
